“ I love the concept of Wen Chen. Legit Mexican food! A fundraiser brought us here. It did not disappoint! First, I think it's great for businesses to do things like this. Supporting the local community is a big plus! It has in-door and outdoor seating. It's a chill vibe with the "Whittier, where the girls are prettier" signage! No alcohol but the food was good, so it wasn't really on my mind, but I did look for a Margarita on menu. Lol I love the GUAC they serve on the Carne asada fries. Everything was very flavorful. A simple menu with Mexican food best. A little bit of everything. I saw shrimp, tortas, hard tacos, and soft. The meat alone is juicy! My sopes we're a little skimpy. But it tastes great. I just wanted a little more Carne. The salsas reminded me of my favorite place, I was impressed! It's close! Service was friendly and welcoming. We definitely will be returning!! ”

“ Came to this place to try it out. Got 2 tacos: asada and al pastor. The best tacos in uptown by far. The red salsa has a King Tacoish flavor: spicy and tasty. Green salsa was tasty af (bright and a slight kick). The asada was on point: flavourful and smoky. The al pastor was above average for the pseudo al pastor type of taco (i.e. not from a trompo/not thinly sliced like a shawarma; the way it should be). Tacos were small, which is authentic. Street tacos in Mexico are served on tiny tortillas. I think it was a taco Tuesday special because the menu said $2.50, but I was charged $2 a pop. Anyway, I highly recommend this spot. I will explore the rest of the menu and update accordingly. ”

Just had the Carne Asada burrito with a side of red sauce and it was on point. Great flavor with the right amount of meat, rice, and beans. For those of us who live in Whittier, no need to drive to Pico for a King Taco burrito. You got it right here. ”
